As much as I would love for Pat McCrory to pack his bags and get the hell out, I'm not going to hold my breath until the dust settles and he's O-U-T out!
The sore loser is almost gone. The people of North Carolina deserve better. Anyone have the final economic tally of all the lost convention business in the state that he caused?

I saw this article and graphic recently in Forbes:
If the shoe was on the other foot, would Cooper and the Democrats challenge? I'm betting so. I'm no fan of the governor but a difference of 6,000 votes out of over 4 million cast is pretty damn close.

It's one thing to ask for a statewide recount when the margin is less than 10,000, which he's legally entitled to do. It's a whole 'nother thing to file challenges involving a handful of votes (in some cases 1 or 2 per county) in more than 50 counties.

Exactly. Spot on. Demand a recount if you're sore over losing your position as governor and the race is close...stop holding county BOE's hostage because you're upset you lost. I hope they do recount and it still shows a Cooper win (as I'm confident it will...and in all reality; as I'm sure McCrory regretfully knows it will too; hence the aforementioned desperate hostage-taking situation). It will only further show how weak of a governor he was. As if being one of the very few republican incumbents in a major race in the south to lose wasn't proof enough.

McCrory has a history of being a poor loser. He ranted about Bev Perdue, almost weekly on WCNC, for 4 years. Bev Perdue has a lot more backbone than he does. After the sweetheart deal that he tried to give Duke, l don't know why anyone voted for him.
If he doesn't get a job with Duke after he gets bounced out of the Governor's Mansion, perhaps Trump could make him "Chief Doorstop" of the East Room in the White House.

I get the feeling that he thinks that being governor is his right. I wonder if Cooper's first act as governor will be to call up the national guard to pry Pat out of the governor's mansion. Maybe Cooper could live in his own house & rent the governor's mansion to Pat & split the rent between the school districts.

Knowing what Pat and the cheapskate general assembly would authorize for rent, I doubt the payment would cover the monthly lunchmoney for a 3rd grade class!

Oh, it wouldn't make a difference, but it might buy some light bulbs.
