The northwest branch through Morrisville could have a spur to the airport. That is what RDU is. Since you're not from around here. RDU is Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

It won't go to the airport. RDU protects their expensive parking decks. Boondoggle. Just more ripping off of the working class.

Yeah, just like rail doesn't go to any airports in this country. Except for Atlanta, Philly, Cleveland, New York, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, DC, Minneapolis, Portland, Baltimore and virtually every other major city with a fully developed rail network. All of which are used extensively by the working class.

Great public transportation between downtown Durham and downtown Raleigh would be amazing, having the cities connected could add so much to the area.

Exactly. RDU won't let the rail connect to it. Too much invested in their parking facilities.

You need to re-read my post. The point went right over your head.

RDU has no more invested in decks than any other airport. Lots of airports have rail. RDU won't stand in the way of rail coming there, if it ever happens.

Seriously. What is that guy smoking?

I would think it would be a strategic advantage to have an air-to-rails cargo transport for RDU.

'RDU won't stand in the way...' They already have.

Given that no passenger train service exists in the Triangle, that statement doesn't make any sense. Can you elaborate?
