There have been numerous posts here on that subject, some depends on your situation, do you have kids, need good schools? looking for a single family home to rent or buy? How much?
Run a search on Hope Mills and/or Fayetteville and I'm sure you'll find some answers.

All of Fayetteville is high crime, Hope Mills is one of the better areas to live. Murchinson Rd area, Bonnie Doone area, Southgate and parts of Spring Lake you need to watch out for.
