A bit surprising no Harris Teeter or Ingle's. But Food Lion seems to do well in this region with 8 stores.

Harris Teeter used to be in the Viewmont area, but they left several years ago and Lowe's Foods took their place.

I do not know if Ingle's had stores in Catawba County or has considered opening stores in the area. It would be logical for Ingle's to infill in Catawba County as it has stores in Burke, Caldwell, Iredell, and Lincoln counties.

I wonder if Harris Teeter, now as a division of Kroger, would consider re-entering Hickory as it has in Gastonia and will be in Greenville, South Carolina.

That would be Lowe's Foods #254, Belle Hollow, 3010 North Center Street, Hickory, North Carolina 28601-1161. It will face competition from Publix #1550 in four days.
