Default car inspection and cracked wind shield
Can a vehicle with a cracked windshield (but the crack is patched up) pass inspection in NC?

I would say yes. Mine has a pinhole crack that is not spreading (no lines coming from hole). It passed inspection on Saturday...

With windshield repaired/patched, I would think you could pass inspection. The only thing to do is to go to one of the inspection stations, at most gas stations and/or places like a Jiffy Lube or tire place, and let them look at it. They don't charge to do that -- just look.

It will pass if the crack isn't in your line of vision.
