Are there any plans to introduce new or increase existing taxes in the future ? The reason I am asking is that I see many transplants have been moving to the area from high taxed places and they are somewhat used to high taxes..

Not currently. In fact, the Republican General Assembly has been pretty aggressive about cutting both the corporate and individual income taxes in the past few years. And many of the leaders in that movement have been, and are, migrants from high tax states.

Thank you all for chiming in. I am moving from a state that has both state and municipal income taxes but my automobile license costs less than $50 with no property tax and there is no sales tax on food. So I have a learning curve moving to another state.
