27713 in Durham is b-o-r-i-n-g even for a married guy like me. You'd want to be up near Duke in 27705 (some parts near the campus), 27701 or 27707 if you're a hipster.

I would absolutely not move to Fayetteville. You've got too many other choices that I'm sure would be more pleasing.

The school system in New Hanover County (Wilmington) is in shambles from what I understand. It also has more auto accidents per capita than any other NC county and the traffic is abysmal. It's a beautiful city...but much better to visit IMO

I have a friend who's a teacher that bought a townhome in Garner. It's affordable there, and she loves her school. Garner's also close to downtown Raleigh, if you're into going out to bars/clubs/restaurants/museums.
