Default Real estate arbitration

Has any one gone thru Real estate arbitration here in NC?

Our builder has stated that he is finished with our house, even through the house is missing many options that we have paid for . We made a terrible choice with our builder and now we are paying the price

Thanks

Melissa

I am sorry that you are having trouble with your builder. I must say that thru experience with that clause in all honesty it doesn't matter where you go thru arbitration it is a horrific clause that is an abuse of the consumer. We have spent over 25,000 in legal fees and testing and still must face arbitration which would be held in NY for a mere cost of 25,000 +. We are needless to say done with the legal system as it has proved to be a very costly ticket to the circus.
We are going to practically give this dump away and sell for land value just to get out of our toxic unstructurally sound home built by our fraudulent builders. But we will never stop telling people about our builder and how they caused so much heartache and loss.
I am not allowed to talk about them on this site so if you want to message me that is fine. You can go to homeowners against defective dwellings for more info and to find a representative in your state.
However with this clause in place your best to try with the builder to work it out and if not don't throw your money into a lawyer because they will promise you the world take your money and do nothing for you. Sorry but these are the facts. Please take the time to go to givemebackmyrights.com and sign the petition to hold builders accountable for the structures they build. Ultimately, your builder stole your 7th amendment right to a trial by a jury of your peers. That should make you very angry and with that the best advice is for you to use your voice by contacting your representatives and letting them know that your in support of the Arbitration Fairness Act of 07. This clause is also in your employment contracts, daycares, nursing homes, new car contracts, the products you buy and I believe you will find them in tiny print with regards to games we play like at fast food restraurants.
