THE Lexington Barbecue is my all-time favorite bbq. I am so happy to have moved back to W-S so I can make the quick trip to Lexington a lot more often now.
Rule in our house is:
If you are traveling and come within 10 miles of Lexington BBQ and don't pick up some BBQ sandwiches or bulk BBQ, then don't come home, you won't be welcome.

Usually when I pass through Lexington its either on a Sunday, or a holiday when its closed. Earlier in the year I passed through on a Saturday with the intention of finally stopping to pick up some bbq. It was very good... though I do prefer the white slaw to the red slaw.
When Lexington BBQ and 64 are too far off my path, I've found BBQ King in Lincolnton, just off 321 is an acceptable substitute and right on our trajectory to WNC.
