Default BBQ in Fayetteville area

I moved to Fayetteville area, currently living in Grays Creek and I have been unable to find a really good BBQ place. I am looking for the traditional vinegar based pulled pork, pulled Q, baked beans and BBQ chicken that is authentic.

Any suggestions for the Fayetteville area?

thanks

Sandpiper! There's one on 301 and Grove St. There's also Smithfield BBQ--there's a couple around town--check the phone book.

ANY of the BBQ joints you find in Fayetteville is going to be as you described--is there any other way? No "Lexington-style" around here!

Hi,

The best Q is in Carthage. It is called the PIK N PIG. It is next to a small air strip on Connell Rd.

Actually, *I* think the BEST BBQ is in Clinton at Southern Style. But this poster, living in Gray's Creek, wanted to know what was the best in Fayetteville. I'm certainly not going to drive all the way to Moore County just for BBQ.

Our Realtor suggested this place when we were looking for a house, can't be beat! It is a buffet, but is always busy and food does not seem to sit out at all.

If I recall, it's a family run place and is closed, like, Mondays or something, and they close for a whole week every once in a while, call first!
