Hi I'd like to hear inputs from other folks from CA, who have relocated to NC...any and all areas, although our target area is Mooresville...Thanks! -Rob

Hey there....we moved from Southern CA 2 1/2 years ago to SC (just across the NC state line, outside of Charlotte). Not sure how much help I can be...mainly wanted to wish good luck!

Thanks for the reply! We, like many folks I guess, are looking to SLOW DOWN our lifestyle, vs. the CA "mad dash" way of daily life and since our family in Mooresville is older, we are trying to get a feel for the lifestyle from more folks our age (we are almost 40)...

Where in NoCal are you from? I grew up in the East Bay and in Fairfield. From what I hear about Charlotte metro, it's starting to grow like Concord/Walnut Creek and all along I-680 did back in the 70s and 80s.

We are originally from Mill Valley and now live in Southern Ca. We will be moving to NC on late Summer early fall. We too are looking to slow our life style way down. We are considering at this point North Raleigh, Cary or some areas around Charlotte. We will know more end of June when we are out there. we can't wait!

You know 40 is the new 30 and I'm sticking to that answer. We are in the process of moving, house is up for sale (So Cal, OC). We have found some nice homes we liked in the Mooresville area but think we may end up in the Waxhaw/Weddington area as my brother and sister in law are in the Charlotte/Matthews area. Trying to stay close to them as we will be doing a lot together. Like you it's nice that we have family their. Hope they really like us as we may be staying with them until we can get into a house! We actaully have 1/2 of our house packed and in storage. We are using PODS to move. It's perfect for us as we will just have them shipped to NC and stored until we get the house. I like it too since you pack them yourself. Unfortunately I can't answer too much on the lifestyle as I have no idea yet. It's going to be a fun adventure
