Default Thank you Clodhopper

for giving a nice answer. You all are lucky to have been born and raised in a town/state that you love and where you feel like you can live your best life possible. Unfortunately not all of us are that lucky. I guess it's hard to appreciate that fact if you've never experienced it.

Here's what I like about Sans Souci. www.albemarle-nc.com/windsor/attractn/sanssouc.htm (broken link)

Bertie Co. is awesome but work is kinda scarce. If you could hook up with a job and loved the outdoors you would really like it. The people seem kinda clannish, and I guess they are, but they won't bother anybody. Greenville is not too far away when you need to escape to a University town.

There is some tremendous hunting and fishing in the Bertie area.

moving my posse to nc soon, hope the locals are welcoming of this northerner. If not to bad, start getting used to your horse and cow farms being replaced by tax revenue housing. Also go see a dentist.

I think the Horsepasture River in Transylvaina county would be a good ride for him after the French Broad

I was thinking of the New River, but the really wild parts are in West Virginia, so I went looking for the Horsepasture. WOO HOO!!

Please tell me that you're just kidding around? We're moving from Long Island to NC as well as we're actually looking forward to the change....our main reason for leaving here.

Default why are you here then

Just curious as to the reason you folks are in this forum if you have nothing to offer people trying to better their lives. We cannot help where we were born, but when we are old enough to move away, it would be nice for people to offer some advise. What are you so afraid of? If more people move to your area, it will be an asset not a detriment. Im starting to think people in Nc are not the type I would want for my neighbor. Not a friendly bunch. I met some great local people while visiting Corolla, apparetly that was'nt you, thankfully.
