Default There is GOOD PIZZA in NC!

I have been here(Mooresville area) about 2 months now. One of the first places I looked for was a good Pizza eatery. Well it took me awhile but I found a place called "Sebastiano's" off Brawley School Rd. It is in the Harbour Point Village. I have to tell you and this the truth, I am truly amazed at the way their pizza tastes. I come from Orange County,NY and the pizza their tastes like rubber. Sebastiano's pizza taste like the pizza I used to get in Brooklyn. especially the sicilian pizza. Also, their chicken cutlet is REAL chicken cutlets breaded and prepared their. They make some great salads and home made dressing's also. The people their are very friendly and make you feel very welcomed. If you need some directions you can PM me.

doubt there are any better NY pizza than a place called Brooklyn Pizza in Wilmington, NC! The owner is from the same place where I was born and raised, Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn. They make it exactly the same pizza that I used to have for lunch everyday across the street from Sheepshead Bay H.S. where I graduated...no kidding!! Brooklyn Pizza is on Market Street, if you're ever in Wilmington. The next best pizza in Raleigh is Ledo's Pizza (we used to frequent Ledo's Pizza when we lived in Maryland).

Those of you in the Charlotte area...There's a new pizzeria/restaurant opening within a month in the Idlewild plaza...Idlewild and 485...The owner, Joe Dalli, is from Brooklyn and had a wonderful restaurant in Lake Mary, Florida...Look for great pizza and calzones, etc...

My personal suggestion is to look for Gemellis in the Gallaria Shopping Center near the Matthews/Charlotte line. These guys are authenic New Yorkers who speak with such a thick accent you'll feel right at home. I really like their pizza, and the fact that they have imported the real deal to Charlotte. Happy eating!
There are plenty of New York Pizzerias in Charlotte owned by New Yorkers and they are great you just need to search they are out there

We have such great pizza up here. For all the people that know good food in NC....I ask you....what is the pizza/food like?

I was thinking about the end of the movie GoodFellas when Henry Hill says at the end..."you can't get good food out here. The other day I order spaghetti and I got noodles with ketchup!"
Don't come to NC for the food.

I lived in Charlotte for a year. The best place for Italian food was Mamma Lena's on the east side of town. I think it's moved, but not far from Charlotte.

Italian Restaurant - Charlotte North Carolina - Mamma Lena's Trattoria - Waxhaw NC.

I expect that your expectations are that the food here will suck. With such expectations I also suspect it will meet your expectations.

I'm too tired to read all 12 pages - I grew up in NJ and just recently had amazing pizza from Vinny's in Hillsborough. As good as anything I used to order in NJ - I like Randy's as well (Durham, Cary) but Vinny's just beat them in my mind.

It's actually a Virginia chain - but you'd never know it's chain pizza. I would never believe it but I googled them afterwards and found out.

You can change the amount of posts you see per page up to 40 posts and that would reduce this thread down to it current of three pages. I dont recommend this to those on dial up or slow pc.

Changing options is located in FAQ option 4 in this thread

It's true - I think the food here is absolutely amazing. Sure I can't get everything I like (i.e., Cuban - there's only one place that compares, sorta) but if you show up thinking the food is awful you won't even see the good places.

We can't post links to blogs/other forums, and I have a really good source for this. But, you know, you should be able to find some recommendations for great chow in the south, if you really sniff out good food, like a hound.

(mod I know that might get deleted, hope that was ok)
