I dont care for Boston because of Harvard, I went to Brown University and we wanted to beat them in football and Hockey.
western Mass isnt that bad
Hey when did you graduate from Brown? (I am a 1984 grad...I remember that they used to say that it always rains in Providence, except for the rainy season when it snows...have to admit I don't miss that biting wind )
I lived half my life in Boston...now I'm in Orlando. I hate both places. NH is great, although it gets pretty cold up there. We're looking at NC for better weather. NH and NC are very similar in the respect that they're much more rural than the major areas previously discussed. Bostonians make fun of NHites and call them backward rednecks...but it's all the Bostonians who love going to NH to relax and who enjoy not paying any sales tax in NH. NH gets voted most livable state quite a bit.
Living where you want to is a personal decision. Some people love the hustle of a major city, others love the quiet countryside. No place is perfect, but you have to make the best of wherever you go. You have to take the bad with the good. It's all about what's most important to you; then live it.
Abrasive personalities that make flashy displays of faux wealth and look down their noses at working people while on their way in their expensive import car to the job their Daddy got them.
