NC Unemployment for December
North Carolina's jobless rate stayed flat at 4.9 percent in December, while overall employment rose, the state Employment Security Commission said Friday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in North Carolina has ranged between 4.6 percent and 4.9 percent since July. The unemployment national rate for December was 4.5 percent.
Seasonally adjusted employment in North Carolina rose by 9,904 jobs, to 4,289,304.
The sector with the largest increase was professional and business services with 2,900 jobs, while manufacturing last 1,900 jobs.
