North Iredell High School. Statesville Senior High (my kids would kill if they heard this!!!). Lake Norman High. Mooresville City is ok, on par with the county. ALL the schools have issues. The key is to be involved and stay connected with your kids and their teachers and remember that driving is not a right, but a privilege.

I am a teacher at East Iredell Middle School. North Iredell High School is a good rural school that is currently going through period of renovation and and expansion. It is a good school limited only by the fact that it is small and in an area with a small tax base.

I am friends with many of the teachers there and know they truly care for their students.

Though my own children don't go there because of where i live, I wouldn't hesitate to send them there.

Iredell County cares about their students and strives to ensure they all recieve a quality education.

CJF - Thanks for the info. I have been checking into East Iredell Middle and North Iredell High School. We are moving in a month and my daughters be at Cool Springs Elementary then they are assigned to go to East Iredell Middle. I am moving from SC and was worried about the schools there and just didn't know much about Statesville in general. But hearing you talk about the schools in Iredell County and those 2 in particular makes me feel better! Thanks again! Any other info about the area or schools would be greatly appreciated! I will be looking for work in March, currently I work at North Myrtle Beach High School as the Bookkeeper so I am looking at the schools webpages seeing if anything is available!

Hello...my son will be attending South Iredell High School in Sept. Does anyone know if this school allows teachers to have computers at their desk and/or are they allowed to use them while class is in session. example...entering grades, emailing parents, etc.

Well I guess so. Don't know why they wouldn't let their teachers use computers. Practically all classrooms at any school have at least one computer in them.

Thank you for responding. The reason I asked is because the public high school my son went to had computers in each class and I felt the teachers spent more time on their computers then teaching/assisting the students. I was hoping it wasn't like that in every public high school. There are private schools that don't allow computer usage during class time, but they can be very expense to attend.
