Red face Relocation advise pleeease

Hello everyone, I really need advise. I am in NY and looking to relocate to either holly springs/carey area of NC or Myrtle beach SC area. I know many of you are probably sick of all the NYkers coming your way but we are a nice family sick of the rat race here!!! I have 4 young kids under 6 so school districs are key for us, also area, land and a big enough house. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have NOT been to either area but plan to check them out soon, just word of mouth about the areas I wrote down, new ones are always welcomed I really need help and to be pointed int he right direction. Thanks !!!

You would probably get the most help if you post directly on the Raleigh thread and the Myrtle Beach thread. Also, include in your post how much you can afford to spend on a home and how soon you plan to move. Best of luck

Those two areas are so different it's amazing! You'll love Cary! What a wonderful area! You have all the convenience of Raleigh, but can escape the rat race. As far as Myrtle Beach......you'll be right in the middle of insanity! Some folks love that area, but after waiting 20 yrs between visits, last year I discovered that it was just as "skanky" as always. Not a very good area. It'll be more than 20 years before I go back! Living in Cary, you can enjoy the NC beaches which are MUCH better! Not nearly as commercialized. A lot cleaner! Spare your kids that junk down there.
