Spent a chunk of my life since childhood in Boone/Blowing Rock . . . so would head there if I could support myself there.
Outside the state . . . move back to Kansas City burbs . . . or Frisco, TX . . . would consider burb of CHI . . . love both Santa Monica and Santa Barbara but can't afford to live there . . . always wanted to live in Georgetown, DC but high cost of living has always held me back . . . Charlottesville, VA (Albemarle Co in general) . . . Charleston, SC if I had the money to buy what I wanted, where I wanted, LOL . . .
Well let's see I have lived in Jamestown, High Point, Greensboro, Winston Salem, Raleigh, Huntersville, Cornelius and now Charlotte. Is there anywhere left...
It would be further west like in the mountains but I couldn't just go from uptown to farm lands again I would have to transition a bit.
depends sunny. would I have to work? if I needed a job, I would move from wilmington, to raleigh. nice central location. if job wasn't a consideration, I would go to the mountains. asheville is too liberal for me (I kind of liked greenville, SC). I am thinking boone. been through there and liked it. a bit small, but had enough stuff to keep me entertained. if I was old enough to retire and could leave the state, might move back to VA. williamsburg to be exact. been all over this country, and that is probably my all time favorite area.

This just a hypothetical question but If you was "kick out" of the North Carolina city that you currently live in what city would you move to next in North Carolina?
There are several I'd love to go to, so this is a hard question!
Okay, if money is no object I go straight to Lake James
