If you check out the Flickr website and search for pictures of North Carolina (there's a North Carolina photo pool that I'm a member of), you should find pictures there of the recent storms as well as past storms. Check out the Wilmington photos for storm pictures also.

I got caught in the middle of the thunderstorm yesterday in High Point/Greensboro. I took the afternoon off and went to see a movie with my daughter (who just "graduated" from preschool that day) at the Palladium Theatre in High Point and got out of the move about 6:30 - and right into the storm. It was one of those where it was dry when we exited the theatre, then a few sprinkles came down about 10 seconds later, and then about 10seconds after that the sky opened up on us when we were about 30 yards from the car. Nothing like running through the parking lot, holding a 5-yr-old, and simulataneously reaching into your pockets trying to get out the automatic door-unlocker for the car. I felt like Indiana Jones running away from the natives at the beginning of that movie.
We made it home okay - no big deal, really. I saw some pictures on the news of hail around Muirs Chapel Rd.
lol I have two young children (ages 9 and 6) and have had to huddle under an umbrella with the both of them (one under each arm & clinging to me) a few times, wading through puddles and going "wooh!" whenever a brilliant flash of lightning came down and the thunder boomed. lol
When my husband and I were on our way to Bianca's in the storm, it was close to 7:30 PM.
