until 11:00 or so tonight. I will let you know how bad it is after it is over with. The counties of Onslow, Craven, and Pamlico I know have already gotten some of this storm. I don't think we will get the line they got. We are too far west of them but that doesn't mean we won't get some of the rest of it. Currently 15 counties come under that watch/warning. Oh and it is 91 degrees here right now.

I believe the National Weather Service has issued a Severe Weather Watch Alert for the entire state of NC & SC.

a1m1700- I know where you're coming from, I was born and raised in So. Cal, and really there was not much weather to speak of. Earthquakes, yes, but to be honest, they don't really scare me. Now I'm in Seattle, where we don't have any real weather but rain, rain, rain- with the occasional yellow thing in the sky- the "sun", I think it's called. And I'm on my way to Tn, or SC. And yes, my TV has been on the Weather Channel all day! I'm obsessed with the weather now! So you're not alone. I've just decided I'm not going to let weather decide my life! After all, it's not like we're moving to tornado alley in the midwest! We'll be just fine. Think of all the wonderful people that live there! Bethanytedder- stay safe, and keep us updated, all right?

We're having a severe thunderstorm watch here in Greensboro. *shrug* No big deal. I don't really get nervous until the winds really pick up (30 mph or higher) and if hail comes down. Otherwise I don't pay it much mind. I just go about my business. I'll usually turn off the computer if I'm on it and I won't get in the shower, but that's about it.

Most places have their issues with nature - mudslides, wildfires & earthquakes in CA, tornadoes in the middle of the country, hurricanes on the coast, blizzards up north, etc. I'm not going to worry about a little ol' storm. lol

Yes you are absolutley right, I have to stop
letting the weather freak me out. Yes I am so excited to move down to SC or NC or whatever in between....so I'll just keep thinking about that.

We don't have many issues here except heat and a monsson here and there in the Summer. We are the opposite of Seattle no rain.

You just don't want me to do the outside cooking. I would be happy to do the inside cooking. So far so good. We had a storm move through here and as usual, it wasn't as bad as they scare the living hell out of with. But there are still more storms coming this way. The ones that passed us are at the coast at the moment.
