I am looking at a property that has room to put in a pool. Has anyone built a pool recently who has moved down to NC? Can you give a rough estimate of approx. what pools cost down there. I know this will be kind of broad but just trying to get an idea of what they go for. I have contacted a few pool companies but none seem to be able to tell you unless you already live there. I am thinking basic average size pool ...I think lined is cheaper then concrete but not sure. Also anyone with a lined pool...how do you like it?
Thanks for any info anyone can provide...

We had one installed in Greenville, NC about 2 years ago. The basic pool was just over $20k, for roughly 15'x30' (though it's irregularly shaped), vinyl lined. The vinyl is fine, and gives different options for prints. Of course the liner will last around 10 years before needing to be replaced (I think that runs a couple thousand $). We spent closer to $30k total, because we put in a salt chlorine generator and automatic cleaner (wouldn't do without either of those) plus a waterfall feature and some additional concrete around the pool that wasn't included in the base price.

I'm sure the price varies; one company has almost the entire market here in Greenville, so I would imagine some places they cost less.

It really depends on the area and who you know. What part of NC are you talking about?
