Default North or South Carolina?

I know there are many out there asking the same question, but everyone's situation is different. I am looking at which area to relocate to. I would be looking for a teaching position, so someplace with a good educational system is important. Kids are older, so I would probably want more of a condo/townhouse. Weather is a big factor! I am in Wisconsin now, and after a winter of record snowfall, I am ready for a change. I would prefer an area that doesn't receive snow, but would be willing to be someplace where winter is considered mild compared what I am used to, and where I could be active outdoors almost year round. I would appreciate any suggestions so that I can make plans to visit some areas in the next year. Thanks!

Wow, just about all of the major cities in the Carolinas fit your description. Winters are pretty mild in this part of the country. I'd say that the winters in SC are a little milder than those in NC simply because it's further south.
