Crafter's Flea Market

Held 3-4 times a year in the parking lot of Ornamentea (bead and craft store in downtown Raleigh). All vendors are artists and craftspeople who sell their own handmade creations as well as left over supplies (paint, fabric, beads, etc.).

Next one is July 14th, 2007!

Default I agree... we need a CRAFT Mall permanently

I recently moved here after living in Texas and New Mexico for years. You know, there are many craft malls or crafter's galleries, whatever you want to call them, all over! I used to love spending an afternoon looking all over (and making many purchases, not always to my husband's delight). The craft place was like a store with many 'booths.' Crafters display their wares and pay a 'booth rental' fee every month. There are owners who run it so the crafters do not have to be there. Just like consignment, I suppose. One would find all kinds of cute items, country and beyond! If anyone hears of something like this, please let us know!!! THANKS!

Plans are being made for an animal rescue group fundraiser, which will consist of craft show (10% of each booth's profit donated) and dog/car wash. It will be held in August in Cary, NC. PM me if you'd like more details about having a booth or shopping for a great cause.

Here's a few more links for those interested in having booths or even those looking for something fun to do

I'll be at the Snowflake Animal Rescue craft show in August... there should be something for everyone!

Just found out about another one... Cricket's Nest in Winston-Salem will be having a craft show in the park Sept 29th, 2007! Spaces are $12 if anyone is interested in having a booth. Otherwise definitely another great shopping opportunity.

Charlotte Crafting Mafia is a crafting group based in Charlotte.

There's also going to be an Etsy-related craft show in Charlotte in mid-October at Freedom Park (etsy.com is a great crafting website and worth visiting).

Summerfest in York, SC in August is a huge festival that has a lot of craft booths.

Rock Hill, SC does Main Street Market events once a month in the summer (the next one is tomorrow night, I believe) featuring artists and music.
