target dc (Newton: transfer, install, building)

does anyone know anything about new target dc in newton

I've been watching the building going up and looking for job postings, but the target website doesn't list the newton dc yet. and the only jobs listed (that i can find) are for upper management and some supervisor positions. nothing for us dock-trash (you know, those of us who do the actual work) yet.

Not sure when Target will accept applications but I can tell you that it takes 6 months to a year to install and program the material handling equipment inside and this site will have a state-of-art material handling system. I have heard that it will be around May of 2009 before all the equipment is installed and running. I can tell you that Target has already asked for volunteers from other DC's to sign-up but even those who signed up have not been notified of any transfers. So for those of you looking for work now, I would not wait for Target DC to open to get a job. If I hear anything new, I will keep you all posted!
