want to relocate to north carolina (Wilmington: move to, companies, boats)

i have been doing a lot of research about north carolina but can't seem to find what im looking for.my boyfriend and i would like to move to north caolina the problem is he works on the river as a deck hand. and i've been trying to find barge companies in north carolina and haven't had much luck .so i was wondering if anyone could tell me if north carolina even has any barge companies?any part of would be okay,but really like the triangle area.would love some help

We don't hardly have navigable rivers, lol. And the rivers here don't have many barges or ships on them. You'd really need to be looking at states with bigger rivers in them like the Ohio or the Mississippi for that kind of work. Most of our rivers are for recreation, not commerce, sorry!

The charter boat fleets here use many levels and skills of deck hands. I'm sure, if you visit, you will find some possibilities...Also, check out the major seaports like Wilmington, always need good deck hands. Lastly, google Riverboats, NC and you will see how many possibilities there are...
