Question Haw River Area Question

Not being familiar with the area, I wasn't sure in what forum to post this. I am potentially relocating with my husband; is it possible to live in the Haw River area on a salary of $65,000 annually? And what areas would be good for a homeschooler?
We're looking for a small town, but with proximity to a larger city -- probably a good library, good grocery store, bookstore, etc. Will take one or all

Thanks!

Thanks, findinghope. We will look in those areas! This is good to hear. We were worried going down to one income would be too difficult.
