Default Snow

I'm in the Hickory area and would like to know if anyone is familiar with snow tubing(Do not do the skiing)lol... Is this just in the ski resort areas, or do they have tubing slopes individually? I realize there are a few ski resorts, but didn't know if they had some snow spots that were less of the "hustle and bustle" of say Maggie Valley or the others. If anyone has done the tubing, could you refer some good places for a beginner family? * Just for a day of fun, no overnights. Thanks

Thanks for the help, everyone. I will look into them. At least I know these places exist now, after googling "snow tubing in NC" I pretty much got the major ski resorts. This helps alot.
