I heard the same thing from a lady I met at EarthFare when I went to check out that market...I'm pretty close to that place so that should be nice...I thought that was Durham??

I emailed about Asheville, also! But I have to say, Asheville already is blessed with a number of wonderful markets, so it's hard to complain. Still, it seems like the kind of market where Trader Joe's could find a good niche. If they did come to Asheville, I wonder what part of town would be best?

I am all for a Trade Joe's in Asheville. There are a few in GA, but Asheville is closer to where I live. Being from LA, I sure miss the store. Even the smell of it!!

Whole Foods aka Whole Paycheck is fine for some things but for lots of people, it's out of reach for anything but specialty items.
As for TJ's, same could apply but since I have only been in one and was NOT impressed, I'll let others have their say. Liz

It was announced in the paper that the TJs on Rea Road will be opening in mid-August, Sept 1st the latest. TJs will not give an exact opening date until later in case of unexpected delays.
I'm so excited.

I am seriously considering moving to Mooresville. I've been searching the NC forum hoping to find someone who actually lives in Mooresville to learn more about it. We are a young couple with tiny kids and really want a family friendly neighborhood and preferably not one with mostly retired folks. Is Mooresville mostly full of kids, teenagers, or adults? I'm looking for a neighborhood where kids are always playing outside...the kind that typically drives single people and elderly people crazy, but young families love.
Any insight you can give on Mooresville would be terrific.
Oh, and Trader Joes is my favorite food store! I would be totally thrilled to have one close to home!

The Whole Foods land deal here in Charlotte fell through. They are still coming but the lates I read it was going to be like 2009 before it comes to fruition.

I live in Raleigh an have heard rumors for quite a few months that they would be in the Cameron Village just north of downtown Raleigh. The latest buzz is that they are talks with the owner of the Holly Park shopping center on Wake Forest road just inside the beltline.
Here is a survey that will be delivered to TJ corporate office at the end of August, cast your vote now while you can:
