Have BA degree, want to teach..help
I have a BA degree and I'm trying to figure out how to start back to school so I can teach K-5. Teacher assistant would be fine, but the salary is too low...I have a full-time job now and can't take too much of a hit. Looking for online options...just trying to figure out where to start if I want to go to school first, then apply for teacher position in Johnston County. Anybody done this before? Thanks for your time.

There is a lateral entry program in NC for college graduates who didn't major in education.

Thank you for replying. How do I check into this? Do I take a teaching assistant job first or do the school thing first?

Lateral entry is an option but have you considered obtaining an MA in education via an online program? There are several options which you can complete while employed full-time, in 18-24 months.
Good luck!
