According to the Greensboro News & Record, NC is rock bottom for teachers now. We thought 46th was bad!

Gee thanks, McCrory, Tillis, and NC Legislature!

LOL. You mean Kay Hagan, Mike Easley, and Bevery Perdue.

WalletHub used teacher salaries from 2003-2013.

We are talking about the budgets of Kay Hagan, Mike Easley, and Bevery Perdue. This includes the last budget from Beverly Perdue which lasted until 2013.

Now, for the first time, teachers have gotten a raise under McCrory, Tillis and the present day GOP GA. You really should be thanking them but obviously that wasn't your intent. I suppose this topic will die a quick death now.

This state has been under red control since at least 2010. I reckon you think we oughta be real kind to massa' for allowin' us the privilege of schoolin' TWO DAYS per week now, seein' as how they use ta' only allow us ONE DAY per week of schoolin'.

Yessuh! Thank ya' massa!

Tillis has also given us a Tax system which will lead to more Real Estate Tax increases and Sales tax increases. In January 2015 the corp. in the state get another tax decrease( they will have a lower rate then the individual), power to the big money interests. These will bring about less revenue and more borrowing.

In NC you have not seen how high Real Estate taxes can go, well with the guys in the GOP you are about too.

...meanwhile, we continue to enjoy below average income.

Evidently the message here is, if you need to work for a living, we don't want you in North Carolina.

Beverly Perdue did raise sales taxes. It took the GOP to deny her plans to make it permanent.

Meanwhile NC is the 5th fastest in job growth in the USA. Data and facts trumps rhetoric as it did to the OP here.

Ahh a bad day day for the partisans. They came to this looking to complain how bad Tillis, McCrory and the NC Legislature has made it and validatation of their version of reality. They they found the facts, once exposed, once again took the wind out of their sails. Imagine that. The blame is squarely on the heads of their own politicians. And of course.... they won't talk about that.

(the OP left out the more conservative Senate for deserved for scorn, odd that)

Deflection: The problem now is the tax system Mr. Tillis has put into play. It does not bring in enough revenue and he has decided to double down on the problem by allowing another tax decrease to Corps. only in January 2015(you and I will be paying a higher percentage). The small Govt Conservatives have also put a cap on the amount of sales tax a county can charge thereby forcing the need to raise real estate taxes.
