Greenville reminded me a little of St Petersburg Fla, lot's of traffic and busy roads but once you get the hang of it and find the back way it will be no problem - not to mention keep your eye out for the driver talking on a cell phone. I was very excited to see growth again. Some people may not like it but after living up in Erie and witnessing multiple business closings along with a poor economy I consider it a positive! Met many nice people on my house hunting trip. Everyone stopped to answer questions and made sure I felt welcome...nice to be back in that type of atmosphere! My wife is searching the internet for information on soccer leagues for my 7 year old daughter. Does anyone know when they start? Since it is so warm they may have already kicked off? Also she wanted to know if there are there any MOPs (mothers of preschoolers) groups around?

thanks
Let me know if you find any active MOPS groups ... went to one here in Orlando and would love to get involved once we're in Greenville. Glad your trip was so positive!!

Default Looking for rental home

I am moving from Athens Georgia to Greenville in August and will be looking for a rental home until I sell my house here (probably a year). Any help would be appreciated.

Lots of rentals. A good source is the Greenville newspaper, The Daily Reflector. A Google search will turn it up real quick.

Default Check out Farmville

Maybe you'd like to look into the quiet, quaint little town of Farmville. Population about 6,500. Good schools, great teachers. Wonderful sense of community. Commute to Greenville, ECU and hospital takes about 15 minutes. Access to Hwy 264 and points beyond about 5 minutes from town common. More value for your housing dollar. And no, I am not a realtor. Hubby and I have lived there for the last 14 years and we really like it.

We used the Liz Freeman Team when we sold our house in Winterville in 2004. They did a great job. We were in a bit of a hurry to get back to California and her team managed to get it sold quickly. I'd definitely recommend these folks.
