The channel 14 cooking guy......This guy really annoys the heck out of me. Am I the only one? He whines rather then talks and his recipes stink. Sorry, but I just had to say it. I've only seen one dish this guy prepared that I would ever even consider actually cooking. He must "know" someone at the station, because he is by far the worst television chef I've ever seen.
I know this post will yield me a few attacks by ya'all, and that is okay with me. I've been meaning to be critical of this guy for some time, but after yesterday's, bacon pasta episode, I just had to say something. And keep in mind, I have given great reviews to other eateries in the past, so I think I am fair.
You're not going to get any attacks from me. (Except maybe for misspelling "y'all" after we had an entire multi-page thread on it!) I dislike those segments immensely. It's not just the recipes either. He really sounds like he'd rather be anywhere than in a kitchen cooking that day's recipe.
I thought it was just me His voice makes my skin crawl. I saw the recipe yesterday and could not believe how unappealing it was! I actually Googled his name after to see how he got the gig on News 14. It appears he is from/lives in Rochester, NY and appears on a couple of different networks affliated with Time Warner. And I'm always thinking that most chefs wouldn't be caught dead in that kitchen! It's so outdated and lacks counter space. Thank goodness he is using a gas stove. I could not handle a "chef" using an electric stove

I have channel 14 but have somehow managed to miss this chap.
I have to wonder, if he annoys you so much why do you subject yourself to his show? For example, I'm not a cowboys fan so it's not like I go out of my way to watch their football games or coach/player interviews unless they are playing a team I support. When I want to get my NFL news I just check out yahoo sports and see how badly the Cowboys have managed to lose this week as they continue their race to the bottom.

Totally agree with all of the posts. The guy has NO personality, no kitchen flair....he must be related to someone at TWC!
It's like a train wreck. You can't help but watch - just to see if the next recipe will be any better And his segment is much shorter than a football game.
His latest recipe:
Tortellini with bacon and corn
Moderator cut: copyright violation

I kind of like Chef Dan Eaton on Channel 14. Although I've never tried any of his recipes, they look quick and simple...inexpensive too. No personal attacks please
I thought it was only me....I'm glad there are others that see the same thing. He is awful

I always pick up the vibe that it's a joke segment on YouTube - like "Muffins."
(P.S. It's not a cooking show. It just comes on in the middle of the news.)
