I think they only show educational stuff. Not that that's bad, but I didn't see any main stream movies there. I saw Batman Returns at an IMAX not to far from me here in Boston and it was AWESOME! I'll be able to catch super man returns there before I leave (yes, I am a childhood comic book superhero geek) ![]() |

Hey there Miker2069: the IMAX is located within the Discovery Place (uptown Charlotte)...as a matter of fact the IMAX is currently showing Batman (June 26 through July 30th) with more motion pictures to follow. ![]() |

So make of that what you will. I guess the point is the "best places" to live in Raleigh is all relative to what you like. Some people actually like the suburban, culdesac & stripmall atmosphere of those outer areas. Some prefer a more-established, traditional city neighborhood closer to the core of town, where you don't have to drive far (or at all) to get to things. So it depends on who you talk to. Good luck in your search. |

Stats schmatz! Do people really pick a place over the internet and up and move there?
My boyfriend and his family are from SC, and they said that we should go down to NC to check things out (we wanted to get out of DE, but not sure where to go). So that is what we did. Got in our car and drove 7 hours to Raleigh and had a look around. We drove around that dang beltway thing for 2 days (not because we were lost, because it takes you everywhere you want to go!) At first I was dead set against moving that far south, until we drove around and then we went to the most amazing restaurant. The waitress gal sat down in our booth and talked to us for 1 hour while we had lunch. I was quite impressed. And the calimari was to die for! LOL. Anyway, the fact that it was completely different from DE is exactly why we want to move there. I mean why leave some place if you like it? Why expect where you are moving to to be anything like where you left? Silly people. |
