Default Local History Books of NC

During my Christmas shopping, I ran across quite a few local history books dealing with specific areas of the state that I was unaware of. Since this would probably be considered advertising, I won't post them here, but if you want a list, send me a message.

I think you can post reading recommendations without it being considered advertising. Whatcha got?

Oh, and Woodcarver, just so you know, it's not a good idea to post your email address on a public forum. Spammers use robot programs to scan forums looking for addresses so they can inundate your inbox. You might want to edit your post to remove it.

Any bookstore here (particulalry independent ones, like Books at Quail Ridge in Raleigh or The Regulator in Durham) will have a "Local" section with dozens of local history books and local authors. Also, a librarian at any library can tell you the most popular and best-researched ones.
