Hi!
Anyone familiar with "Caviness and Cates" builders? We're looking into "Davencroft" , "Windsor Downs", and "Prudoe Bay" in Greenville. Any thoughts about these communities or Vicksburg ... or Wind Song?

Thanks so much!

I just returned from a house hunting trip and spent a great deal of time in those subdivisions. We finally decided to purchase a preowned in Windsor subdivision. This was due to the fact that a fenced yard, established neighborhood, and brick siding was a priority (not to mention my new boss wanted me to start ASAP). The subdivisions you mentioned did have some very nice homes in them and it was a tough choice. I do not know the builders history but my realtor did not have any negatives on them.. she said they were very good......for what it's worth. Be careful of the lots, what may be a great view now may end up having a house built on it. Find out if it is on a public sewer system or septic tank. I think overall most of the new builds were pretty good and it would be hard to go wrong.

Good Luck.

There's so many new subs to look at it's hard to keep up with them. There are a couple of Section 8 type subs on the west side of Rt 11. There's nothing wrong with that but it's something to keep in mind and you may want to avoid the really cheap (under $125) subs.
