My daughter has married a wonderful black man who we have welcomed into our family with open arms as he is perfect for and with her.

They have a beautiful daughter age 6 months and she is a jewel--(I'm a grandma first-time what do you expect me to say!!)

They often say they'd love to live in North Carolina but I often wonder what areas would "welcome" them and what areas should they avoid because of racial tensions?

THANK YOU.

Worried mom.

Charlotte, Raleigh, and Greensboro areas would all be great. I live in the Charlotte area and there are many mixed race couples/families in our church. Don't believe the old pre-1960's stereotypes. I'm a native. They'd be more than welcome here!!
