Moore county is a bit farther then you may want to commute, but it is a very nice area. Cost of living though is higher then other counties.

Have you looked in to the Harnett County areas? Lillington, Angier? They are about a 30 min commute to Bragg and are so quite! My husband is stationed at Bragg, we've lived in Fayetteville and Raeford. We will be staying up this way in Angier for sure!

Where in St. Pauls did you look? Do you have children? If so have you looked into the schools? What is your budget? When do you have to be here? Fayetteville has a lot of areas. If you like more of the country try Wade, or Eastover, they are great areas!!

Check out the area north of Spring Lake on 87. It is quiet up there and lots of pretty trees. We are moving too because of a PCS, but we have loved it here in this neighborhood. There is a gated community called Anderson Creek club this way off Nursery Road if you go past Spring Lake headed to Sanford. There is also an area with houses just like in Anderson Creek, but they are less expensive, called Woodshire. The taxes are cheaper in Harnett County and we love our schools! People do not know we are up here between Spring Lake and Lillington. Our neighborhood is safe and close- knit. Lots of new construction, but make sure to visit the resales, they are really good deals for the same product with all the extras.

The school's arent that great. There are new neighborhoods in between Hoke and Fayetteville. Maybe 15 min from base. Check out Churchill, in Rockfish. Right on the Hoke/Cumberland border. It's a majority military.

Hmm, I'm relocating to Bragg area here shortly. After reading the crime rates in Fayetteville I'm definitely not moving my family there. I'm going to look into St Pauls and Eastover, hopefully can find something nice and available.

You'll be better off heading out towards Eastover. Cape Fear School district is fantastic! And it's close to base and to town.

Not much new development in the St. Pauls area. You would have better luck in Eastover/Stedman.

You might look into the Grays Creek school district too. That is where I chose to buy.

Pictures look alright but looking at the crime comparison on Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowed it ranks a 7/10, fayetteville is a 8/10 and St Pauls avg 5.5.
I just don't want to leave my family somewhere unsafe since I am Military and I will be gone for long periods of time.
I'm just looking to Rent BTW
