We left late last Monday from Calif.
and arrived to our destination ( Mooresville) on Sat. towing a travel trailer and me driving my car.
It was not easy each of us doing the driving by ourselves but we made it!
Lots of C.D's of my favorite music kept me going.
When we felt like stopping for the day it was very easy to find R.V parks along the way. The dogs were no problem. At gas stops we let them out to stretch and do their thing.
We are busy settling the house and enjoying actually eating outside and enjoying the wonderful weather. We lived in the fog belt so eating outside for us in Calif. was difficult.
So far neighbors and everybody are all so friendly.
So far, no compaints

Welcome! Eating outside has become the norm for us here. Our backyard is shaded by 6 pm and it's just perfect! Have you ever seen so many trees in your life?? I talked about all the trees here for weeks.

We'll be coming from Sacramento but I use to live in one of the fog belts in CA....Pacifica! Glad to know that there are other Californians making the move! Congratulations again!

are you from CA too? If so, how long have you been there and are you enjoying it? My DH and I were both born and raised in the Bay Area....my DH was offered to relocate for his company to Charlotte and we are looking fwd to the change and the once in a lifetime opportunity that may not happen again. We are looking into Waxhaw....Lawson, Quellin, Providence areas but will be out again in a couple of weeks to look around.

yes we too were from CA (Long Beach). We are actually located in SC (just across the NC stateline. We have been here 2 1/2 years now (Tega Cay, SC). Not familiar with the developemnts in Waxhaw, NC (even though we are in SC...we are closer to uptown Charlotte than Waxhaw is)..but I do like the area (rural..but growing fast). Good Luck to you!

Take a look at Matthews as well. It's very nice there and the town is just beautiful. Good luck!

I am so glad to hear you made it safe and sound. Congratulations and best of luck to you. We're moving to Matthews the end of the summer and we are so looking forward to it.
