Spindale is located in Rutherford County and is part of the "tri-city" area - it is sandwiched between Rutherfordton (county seat) and Forest City. Spindale does contain a lost of older mill housing. It all depends on what you are looking for. It would be unusual for someone to simply narrow down there search to Spindale and not consider the surrounding areas as Spindale is the quite a bit smaller. I live in Rutherfordton area and work in Forest City. Being from a large city, I have to laugh when folks say, gee that is all the way over in Forest City because it really all blends together.
