Hello,
I am from B'More looking to move to NC. I visited a town right over the NC border that had a lake and was a pretty good size. Does anyone have any idea of what the name of this town could be. I want to be near the 95 corrider as I will still have family home.
Any and all assistance will be WELL-COMED!
BE BLESSED!
Michelle

Did you enter North Carolina on highway 95? Does this link look familiar? This is Lake Gaston.

Gaston, Rosemary or Roanoke Rapids on Roanoke Rapids Lake looks like what you might be referring to.

I wonder if you were near Kerr Lake. My dad lives in South Boston, VA near the NC border and Kerr Lake is right next to him, and it flows well into NC. It's a huge lake and very popular to fish at. If you live near Kerr Lake, you probably own a boat.

Roanoke Rapids and Lake Gaston sound about where you're talking. I95 runs right through Roanoke Rapids. Home prices are going through the roof there due to the building of the Dollywood area. My inlaws live in the area and it's getting crazy around there.

The border between VA and NC is a couple hundred miles long. Most of that entire border is rural. Could you narrow it down a bit?
