Good luck whatever you decide. But I would hate for you to get down here and find out that the home owners insurance is out of this world not to mention all the agony of having to go through a hurricane your first year down here. I was going to tell you also that they are saying that the area you are now in (Long Island, NY isn't it) has been "targeted" for a possible hurricane hit. The last time was in 1921. When I say targeted I mean they think it is possible that it could happen sometime in the next few years. They predicted New Orleans and Katrina a full 4 months before it happened so they are getting better and better at predicting the hurricanes. Watch the weather channel for these interesting stories.

Did anyone watch that Nightline episode (about a week or so ago) with a Hurricane expert and his predictions for 2006? It was frightening but I don't know if what he said is way off base or not!

I know they are saying that this year most of the Hurricanes are supposed to be in the Atlantic, as opposed to last year when almost all of them ended up in the Gulf of Mexico. They specifically said Florida, North Carolina, and possibly some places in the Northeast that hasn't seen hurricanes in a long time should all be very wary this year. TIME TO MOVE TO OHIO! lol.
