Question Not paid for vacation days

IS IS THE NORTH CAROLINA LAW THAT MY EX EMPLOYER SHOULD PAY ME MY VACATION DAYS AFTER THEY LAID ME OFF??? THEY PAID EVERYBODY ELSE THEIR VACATION DAYS, BUT SAID IT WAS TOO EARLY IN THE YEAR FOR ME TO GET MINE. MY 10 DAYS WERE EFFECTIVE JAN. 1ST. I WAS LAID OFF FEB. 13TH.

Please don't yell - you may not be eligible for some reason. Where I work, you must be employed at least a year.

It's according to company policy, but not law. Just as some companies choose to provide severance packages but they are not required to do so. If you can prove through company policy or lack thereof you may have a case, otherwise you're sol.
