Alice 61....how 'bout we just swap houses and save a lot of trouble? Hope you enjoy NC! My husband and I were discussing we hope we enjoy the winters enough we never move south again! (I'm from Illinois). Let me know if you need any tips!

We just closed on our house in Chapel Hill last week so I think we'll pass on the trade... This will be my third time living in NC so I have a pretty good idea of what we are getting into. My daughter was born in State College and has anti-freeze in her veins, like most of the other natives. The weather will probably seem a lot like what you remember from your childhood.

By the way, we will be selling our house soon. It's large and in an older, well established neighborhood.

do not go to charlotte, the traffic is TERRIBLE there. i used to live in columbus, Oh and it is NOTHING like Charlotte traffic.
