Is calling the right # hard
Just wondering....since I moved to NC I receive about 1 "wrong number" call per week. I used to get about 1 or 2 per year. ?? Do people around here change their number a lot??

Are you getting the calls for the same person?
Could be for the last person that had your number......

I get a number of wrong numbers because people forget to dial a '1' before making long distant calls. My exchange is the same as an area code in Michigan. These calls are always from the local area, and they don't understand the need to dial '1' area code. This isn't a new trick, it has been the rule since we could first direct dial long distant numbers.

Land line or mobile? I always receive more "wrong number" calls on my mobile than I ever did on a land line.

Mobile, the only unwanted calls I get on the land line are companies that don't understand or don't give a damn about do not call lists.

I'm on my fourth mobile number and still receive a lot of wrong numbers. The phones were through three different services. The worst offenders were the lady that didn't speak English that called every day looking for her son and the school that calls every month or so and insists I'm an alumnus.
I feel your pain. I guess mobile numbers are recycled a lot. The last phone I added, I requested a number that had never been used before or at least one that had been out of service for a long while. I don't think we've gotten a wrong number on that line and it's been in service for almost a year.
