Arrow N Carolina or South Carolina???

Which state is better to live in? My husband got a job at Charlotte airport and we're trying to pick a town to live in. Maybe S Carolina? Any ideas on this folks? Of course there has to be good schools in this area.

There's not that big of a difference between the two. I'd imagine the taxes and cost of living are fairly lower in SC, but the schools are better in SC..... that plus the Charlotte Airport is on the Northwest side of the city, more inside NC than close to the SC border.

Thanks - now I just have to figure out what county is good, schools and all. We want to live in an area that has some elbow room and not so city like.

Hey there DonnaPGH-I live in York County in South Carolina....Tega Cay to be exact (off of Lake Wylie). The various places you might be interested on this side....Clover (Lake Wylie), York, Tega Cay, Fort Mill...and anyone of these would be an easy drive to the Charlotte airport (just for some sort of reference...it takes me apx. 20 minutes to get to the airport from Tega Cay). If you have more questions on the areas around here...feel free to ask away (or you can also start a new thread/post on the SC forum)
