Thank you so much! I truly think God has sustained me today, I think I'd be a lot worse.
She looked like she wasn't feeling good the last day or so but she was eating. I though maybe she was just feeling hot because she's so hairy and it's hot here, even though she's inside. When my husband came home today she got up and then collapsed. We took her to the vet and her temp was 107. They sent us to emergency and said she was ciritically ill but couldn't tell us from what until they ran a bunch of test. But her back legs were paralyzed so the prognosis wasn't good. I couldn't bare for her to Suffer one more minute. I made the choice to put her down. She was 12 and I think she had a stroke. I didn't want to be selfish just to keep her around.

You made the right decision, I'm sure you know. It would have been unfair to let her suffer.
What was her name? What type of dog?

Her name was Taffy and she was a beautiful white samoyed. Everytime I walked her everyone would stop and comment what a beautiful dog. A samoyed is a white husky type dog. She was like a person so smart. I'll never be able to replace her.

You ended her suffering, the best decision you could have made by far. Cheer up. You should get a new puppy when you move to your new house in celebration and memorium.

Alm, I SO know what you're going through! We had to put one of our dogs down a couple of weeks ago. He was a 14 1/2 year old border collie/spaniel mix who showed up on our doorstep, hungry, scared, dirty and cold, fourteen years ago. He was the best dog I've ever known. So, sweetie, I know just how you feel.
Hugs to you... I'll say a pray for you tonight.

Thank you, I'm so sorry to hear about yours too. They bring us so many wonderful years but the pain we have to go through at the end is so devastating.

Yes, that is true. You will always miss her, and you can never replace her, but when you are ready, another dog will be a comfort to you.
We have two other dogs, both black and white huskies. The young one came to us last September. He just showed up at the kids' busstop two days in a row. We tried to find whoever had lost him, to no avail. I believe that the younger one was sent to us to ease the blow (for my 11 year old daughter) of Pippin's passing. The older husky is getting on in age as well.
I hope that your day today is brighter and filled with His blessings.
Cheers,
Diana
