Default ny to nc move??

was offered a transfer to nc, the places that we are looking at are Mecklenburg County, matthews, charlotte, cornelius, davidson, huntersville.

never been to nc, but heard great things about it. we are looking for a safe neighborhood, houses for rent up to 1400 a month. also i was offered to goto greensboro as well. how do both compare for raising a family??

South Charlotte is a very nice area. You could rent a small home for around $1400. If you need details let me know.

greenville has a lot of poorer areas. that state is just starting to get some attention the charlotte area is busting at the seems. the job market in the charlotte area is way to stressfull now for every job out there in a professional type position there are 300 to 500 applicants. the blue collar end of jobs don't pay enough. things are not that great here anymore. i'm not say things are bad just saying that the new york city way is here you better be up on your game and if your over quilified and get a job deal with what you have and be happy. change is always happening here sometimes for the better sometimes not. good luck in your search the best advice is to think out of the box don't get caught up in the sizzell.

That being said, if you have already been offered a transfer, and therefore, finding a job is not an issue, the Charlotte area is a fantastic place to live. If we can ever sell our house in NY, we are on the first plane out of here. All of the Lake Norman towns you mentioned are fabulous places to live and raise a family!
