Default Nursing jobs in Iredell County?

First let me say, thank you to everyone who posts on this forum. Ya'll have given me a wealth of information about my upcoming move and it is much appreciated

I'm a licensed LPN and am working on finishing my RN. I will be moving at the end of August and I'm curious about nursing jobs in Iredell County. I currently work at a long-term residential psychiatric facility and have about a 35-45 minute commute. Are there any mental health facilities in your area? I have done extensive research on the internet but haven't found much information. I will be looking for a job as an LPN at first until I can take my RN boards in NC. Unfortunately, I won't be RN board eligible until about 30 days after my current apartment lease is up. I'm not sure how much of a difference it will make as far as nursing job opportunities but I also have a business degree in Medical Administration and managed a doctor's office prior to going to nursing school.

I will be back in NC the first week of June and would like to have a few places lined up so I can visit in person and submit a resume.

Well I wanted to edit my post but can't quite figure out how to do that

I asked about mental health facilities specifically because that is what I'm doing now and I enjoy it but I would be interested in hearing about ANY medical facilities that hire LPNs.

I am not sure about nc, but in ct LPNs mainly work in long term care/rehab type places. Most of our nurses our LPNs (accpet supervisors). We do long term care and short tern rehab. some LPN's do work in DR's offices. Several years ago they let all the LPNs go from the hosps. The only real opition is nursing homes.

Yeah it's pretty much the same here in Ohio but I will only need to work as an LPN for a few months after the move. I'm fine with working in a nursing home but I'm just concerned if there are many openings. There seems to be tons of RN positions but I don't really want to live totally on my savings for 3 months.

Thanks for replying!
