Here's one of the Charlotte skyline from Grandfather Mountain. About 82 air miles away. The photographer was the late Hugh MacRae Morton, owner of Grandfather Mountain prior to his death in June of 2006.

Probably. Lake Junaluska is the site of the headquarters of the World Methodist Council, a consultative body linking almost all churches in the Methodist tradition. It is also a camp and conference center for the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the US United Methodist Church.

Cool shots, Cowboy! If you ever get to 960mm you'll need a bigger tripod

It was suggested that I post links to some of my Coastal NC shots to balance all of the mountain pictures.

This is a sunrise I zoomed in on one morning recently while on the beach in Emerald Isle

Sunrise on the Beach Emerald Isle (http://coastalnc.org/morningwaters - broken link)

This is a sunset over Bogue Sound taken from the Emerald Woods Park.

There are lots of Coastal NC pictures in my Picasa Web Albums
