In looking at some of those photos (and yes many funny) the sad thing is, there are people out there who have no choice to live in home that they falling apart and can't afford AC or a pool so swim in their trucks and it made me stop and think that despite the way I feel about where I live and I am considering relocating...we should all be thankful for what we have and that we can consider leaving where we are ... we have a choice, many people out there do not...

I don't deny that many people have little choice but to live in substandard housing but I have never understood why that situation should compel someone to make no effort to at least make the best of where they live. How hard is it to clean up trash, dispose of old tires and appliances, slap a coat of paint on, stick a potted plant on the porch and just generally make it look like you have some house pride. Poverty is no excuse for dirt and disregard of one's home.
